Home Energy Audit
RETROSEAL RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
Designed to address energy efficiency problems, you will receive a written report detailing the current condition of your home and suggested solutions to your specific problems. The audit begins with a short phone consultation with you to determine the nature of your problem and assess your needs. We ask that you pull together one year's prior energy bill payments (gas, oil & electric) before we arrive to perform the audit. Our HERS rater partners are certified to perform audits as outlined by TVA's Weatherizaton Assistance Program.
WE VISIT YOUR HOME AND CONDUCT THE FOLLOWING INSPECTIONS & TESTS:
- Insulation systems: attic, exterior walls, basement, walls, crawlspace
- Building air tightness test with blower door equipment
- Visual inspection and location of air leaks throughout the home using thermal imaging • Ductwork assessment for air leakage at hvac unit, registers, and in the duct lines
- Window & door inspection
- Moisture check on building foundation, basement, crawlspace and in attic
- Ventilation check and sizing
- Check for gas leaks and spillage on all combustible appliances
- Analyze your combustion efficiency and CO levels in your heating equipment
- Audit cost will be applied toward any contract repair work
The RETROSEAL program is an innovative solution designed to REDUCE your home's energy bill in conjunction with local utility company energy rebate and grant programs.
The work can then completed by your TVA QCN/PPN authorized contractor Apex Building Company LLC.
